Golden Eye by Shadow-and-Flame-86 Golden Eye by Shadow-and-Flame-86
Sima the White Tailed Sea Eagle at the Kielder Water Bird of Prey Center, having seen these birds flying around in the wild in Scotland I was amazed to finally see one up close, so beautiful and so huge!

I personally love eyes both of people and other animals, and it seems the closer you get to them, the more beautiful they get. Absolutely exquisite little markings and colour on this lad/lady's eye. Great job on getting the rest of the picture rather dark, makes the eyes stand out :) Eagles are really cool birds, awesome you got to see them up close like this at the center!

yeah eyes are incredible to look at and photograph! I love this eagle, she's amazing. I got to go back and photograph her again in the easter hols just past, exactly the same setting but I think I got the focus on the eye even sharper this time XD will see what everyone thinks when I get round to putting them up.

Oh that'd be really neat! Eyes of any and all animal species are just so fascinating to look at, they make amazing photographic subjects (once their owners manage to sit still and come close enough of course..)
