Little Survivor

The vixen at the scottish deer center, Gingie.

Several people have asked me about why she doesn't have a white tip to her tail, and I know she's a rescue animal but I have never asked about her past before.

So this weekend I asked one of her keepers what happened to her. Its pretty sad, apparently when she was a cub a pitbull dog attacked her and one of the injuries she got was she lost the end of her tail. She was then rescued and hand reared, and is very tame.

Unfortunately her suffering did not end there though, somehow when she was an adult she was given to a facility that didn't have great standards and she had to live in an concrete pen that was only about 1.5 meters by 3 meters big

Thankfully the scottish deer center somehow got hold of her and she now has a huge enclosure made of natural woodland (her natural habitat) which she has made a burrow system underneath!
