Hello everyone! I'm still out in the field studying the seals on the Isle of May and wanted to share some of the pics of the wild beasties I've been working with.
This is a wild long eared owl that the bird researchers here on the island caught to ring and take measurements from before releasing her. Long eared owls are not common in the UK and this one probably came across from somewhere in europe. She was absolutely stunning to see up close!
