MILVUS IS NOW AN ADULT! check out her new sheet here: [link]

My first #Windsonde character, Milvus. She is drawn entirely by mouse in photoshop, apparently I enjoy punishing myself >.<
I've not made a character before... so to compensate for my lack of imagination all her personality traits will come from the two species she's made of.
I'm going to do her first 2 challenges with the 'fledgling' form, then the next 2 in 'juvenile' form, THEN she gets her pretty adult plumage.

Aery Name: Grandesque
Character Name: Milvus
Character Species Combination: Red Kite (Milvus milvus)/Scottish Wild Cat (Felis silvestris grampia)
Rank: Young Gryphon
Gender: Female

Character Personality:
- Social, enjoys being part of a crowd (red kite).
- Family oriented, very attached to her family, which consists of her father Strix (a hugely successful, rich Slaghre hunter), her mother Invicta (a beautiful Faclair who's family approve of the match due to how much money he has) and a younger sister Arga (who hatched a day after Milvus and takes after their mother in looks and outlook on life) (wildcat).
- Will become an exceptional flier, her kite tail making her agile. Unfortunatly while a juvi learning to use it she tends to fly into things (red kite).
- Aggressive, can be irritable and short tempered, and is a intense fighter, but not necessarily a good one. (wildcat).
-Enjoys the outdoors and huntings, taking after her father. Her mother, from a high ranking grandesque family, disapproves of this and wants her to behave like a proper young lady (wildcat).
- Superstitious and slightly wary of strange things. She's not afraid, just doesn't trust the new or unfamiliar. She also doesn't want to get on the wrong side of any spiritual entities, so is reluctantly more respectful of the gryphon deities than your average Grandesque, which her friends enjoy teasing her about. (both species, as they are endangered/hunted to extinction in the UK)

Milvus is Vakia's ([link]) cousin, as their mothers are sisters from the same posh family.

(Many thanks to *Ciameth who has given me much feedback on my other gryphon drawings and to =AbelPhee who redlined the 'juvenile' drawing for me, you were right though Phee, I couldn't get the changes to work so have finished it up as it was)

Love the design! Red Kite makes such a striking gryphon :) I look forward to seeing her appear in challenges & other Windsonde illustrations (I'm going to have to draw her myself :) )

glad you like the design... I really wanted to do the red kite plumage justice, its so beautiful! I get to see red kites more than any other wild bird of prey so they are one of my favourites.

=) hehe she'll be really pretty once she gets her adult feathers... I love how all newly fledged birds of prey, no matter how badass they look when adult, all look like brown moulting messes :giggle:
