This photo is simply amazing, I have looked at countless owl photographs, even taken my own, and never found or took one nearly as impacting as this photo has managed to create.

I cannot tell you how long I sat looking at it there is so much to take in. The detail of the owl’s feathers and the stare of intensity of his eye are completely captivating. The colors are phenomenal the green background is stunning against the earth tones of the owl and his bright yellow eye.

I don’t mind the cropping, which surprised me because I think the ear tuffs are the prettiest and most interesting part of owls. Even without the ear tuffs in this photo I’m sold.
